General List of In-Scope Public Hospital Services Eligibility Policy
9 May 2019The National Health Reform Act 2011 (the Act), section 131(1)(f), provides that IHPA will determine the public hospital functions that are to be funded in the states and territories by the Commonwealth, except where otherwise agreed between the Commonwealth and a state or territory.
IHPA Work Program 2018–19
26 June 2018As prescribed in Section 225 of the National Health Reform Act 2011 (the Act), the objectives of the IHPA Work Program are to:
- set out IHPA’s work program for the coming year; and
- invite interested persons (including states and territories) to make submissions to the Pricing Authority about the work program up to 30 days after publication.

Back-casting policy
15 June 2018The Back-casting Policy outlines the process IHPA follows when back-casting the NEP or the NEC for the purpose of the calculation of the Commonwealth’s funding, as set out in the NHRA (clause A40).
