IHPA Work Program 2019–20

As prescribed in Section 225 of the National Health Reform Act 2011, the objectives of the IHPA Work Program are to:

National Efficient Cost Determination 2019-20

The Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (Pricing Authority) is established under the National Health Reform Act 2011 (Cth) (the Act), and by virtue of section 131(1) of the Act is invested with the following functions relevant to this 2019-20 National Efficient Cost Determination (Determination):

IHPA Work Program 2015–16

1 July 2015

As prescribed in Section 225 of the National Health Reform Act 2011 (the Act), the objectives of the IHPA Work Program are to:

  • set out IHPA’s work program for the coming year; and
  • invite interested persons (including states and territories) to make submissions to the Pricing Authority about the work program up to 30 days after publication.

An extract of Section 225 of the Act is attached at Appendix 1.

National Efficient Cost Determination 2015-16

The Independent Hospital Pricing Authority is established under the National Health Reform Act 2011 (Cth) (the Act), and by virtue of section 131(1) of the Act is invested with the following functions relevant to this 2015-16 National Efficient Cost Determination:

National Efficient Cost Determination 2013-14

The Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (Pricing Authority) is established under the National Health Reform Act 2011 (Cth) (the Act), and by virtue of section 131(1) of the Act is invested with the following functions relevant to this National Efficient Cost Determination 2013 (Determination):

(a) to determine the national efficient cost for health care services provided by public hospitals where the services are block funded;
