COVID-19 Response - Costing and pricing guidelines
17 August 2020This document guides costing practitioners on the steps to capturing end-to-end COVID-19 activity and expenses under the National Partnership Agreement (NPA). It identifies the principles to be applied, the scope of activity and costs to be funded, cost allocation methods and NPA specific cost centres for cost allocation. This document also introduces two new non-patient products and provides information on how to create and map intermediate products.
IHPA Work Program 2020–21
29 June 2020As prescribed in Section 225 of the National Health Reform Act 2011, the objectives of the IHPA Work Program are to:
- set out IHPA’s work program for the coming year; and
- invite interested persons (including states and territories) to make submissions to the Pricing Authority about the Work Program up to 30 days after publication.

Three Year Data Plan 2020–21 to 2022–23
4 June 2020IHPA requires accurate activity, cost and expenditure data from jurisdictions on a timely basis in order to perform its core determinative functions. This data plan sets out IHPA's eighth rolling Three Year Data Plan, covering the period 2020–21 to 2022–23. The Three Year Data Plan specifies the data requirements and timelines that IHPA will use to collect data over the next three years.

This Framework outlines the processes to investigate these disputes following a request by a health minister to ensure the timely, equitable and transparent management of these disputes.

Clinical Coding Practice Framework
5 September 2019The Clinical Coding Practice Framework aims to support national consistency in clinical coding practice, by providing guidance in defining and promoting good practices for those involved in the clinical coding process.
It was developed by the Health Information Management Association of Australia in conjunction with the Clinical Coders’ Society of Australia, and incorporated feedback from public consultation.
