Activity Based Funding Conference 2021

The Independent Hospital Pricing Authority’s (IHPA’s) Activity Based Funding (ABF) Conference series is the primary vehicle where health professionals can explore and debate the application of activity based funding in Australian hospitals. 

Since 2013, it  has become the conference of choice to discuss how ABF funding should support timely access to health services, improve the value of public hospital care, and ensure a sustainable and efficient network of public hospital services.

Under the theme ‘Activity Based Funding: Cost, value and outcomes’, in May 2019 the ABF conference brought together over 450 delegates at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from Monday 13 to Wednesday 15 May 2019. 

Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation, IHPA has decided to postpone the in-person ABF conference planned for Brisbane in May 2021.

While we have had to change the way the event is held, we are looking into new and innovative ways to deliver educational programs on activity based funding to ensure that there are continuing opportunities for engagement and professional development so we can deliver an event that meets your needs in 2021.
